Story Time: Back in the day I used to watch a show on TLC called ‘What Not To Wear,” which would help people who had given up on dressing presentable and would live their live in clothing that did not properly represent who they were. In this show, they would make sure every woman had a wrap dress. Wrap dresses give every woman a waist and is flattering for various occasions.
To me, wrap dresses are quick and easy. You throw on one and you have instant chic, but I never took the time to understand why I liked wearing them, until now.
Wrap dresses flatters almost every body type. The style of dress accentuates the waist and bust, which helps to hide any bulges (if necessary) and creates curves where there may not be. Most wrap dresses can add a sexy flair without being too revealing.
As a person who has always had curves, I always equated wrap dresses to moo moos. Yes, I was a little misguided lol, but I hated the idea of them. I am now reformed and I LOVE wrap dresses. And I’ll tell you, in 2020 we are not dealing with your grandmother’s wrap dress.
