To Shirred or not to Shirred…

I learned about a new style of dress which is not so new but I guess it has a new name and I had no idea I would be so obsessed with this style. It’s called shirred and it’s basically ruching and the popcorn style combined on a dress. I found that this style fits my curves so well.
The first one I found is from Pretty Little Thing. It’s cream in color and gossamer and amazing. I feel so elegant in it. It was on sale and I paid about $32 for it. I knew I loved it because it is cream and I usually don’t go for white clothing (I always stain my white clothing one way or another). I knew it spoke to me in a different way and I had to have it.
It’s called the Plus Cream Chiffon Shirred Bodycon Dress. It may be sold out, but they also have the PLUS WHITE SHIRRED BARDOT LONG SLEEVE DRESS and the PLUS DUSTY BLUE SHIRRED BARDOT LONG SLEEVE DRESS. I may just have to buy those too.
The second one I got it’s in Fashion Nova. It’s yellow, which is another color I tend to stay away from but I have been exploring new colors and decided to try it. I was pleasantly surprised when I got it. The dress was gorgeous and it fit me like a glove. I paid about 37 bucks for it, it was on sale too.
It’s called the Meet on Melrose Smocked Mini Dress. They also have the Smock And The City Mini Dress - Mustard and the Leading The Trend Smocked Mini Dress - Black.
Although this trend reminds me of the 90s/ early 2000s fashion, these dresses are definitely giving what they said they would.
